About Me
Hi, I’m Hayley, a published novelist and developmental editor passionate about helping writers bring their stories to life.
What I Do
I focus on the heart of your book: character, plot, structure, and emotional impact. My goal is to help you shape your story into its clearest, most vivid version.
My Experience
With seven traditionally published books and three more out in the next two years, a First Class BA in English Literature, and an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction), I’ve mentored over 100 authors on their writing journeys.
How I Work
Editing is a two-way conversation. I provide detailed feedback framed as questions and suggestions, then we talk it through on Zoom to make sure your vision shines through.
It's always colaborative and it's always about making your book the best version of itself in a supportive, intellectually curious working relationship.
Genres I Love
In my own reading life I read anything as long as it’s character driven’. I want to know more about why human beings do the things they do! I've worked with fiction and nonfiction across commercial, literary, speculative, saga, romance, spy, sci-fi, fantasy, crime, Middle Grade, YA, picture books and more.
Why I Do This
Books have been my passion since childhood. Editing lets me combine that love with the joy of helping others craft stories that truly resonate.
